Stampin'Up! Pretty Petal Hexagon Gift Box and Card

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone,

Today's project is a gift box and card. As you may know by now I love making boxes! So here is another hexagonal box with a twist on the lid.

For my box and card I have used the Part Animal DSP with Watermelon Wonder and Emerald Envy. The Party Animal DSP is now included in the Sale-A-Bration so to get some for free all you need to do is spend £45 or more, It couldn't be easier!

To make the box you will need,

Card measuring 3" by 9 1/2"
Card measuring 5 1/4" by 9 1/4"

To Make the lid of your box you will also need something round to trace your scoring tool around. I used one of the circle dies from the stitched framelits set and it measured roughly 2 1/2" in diameter. If you don't have that exact die one the same size will be fine.

Scoring for the lid is as follows, all in inches,

Along the 9 1/2" side score at
1.5
3
4.5
6
7.5
9

Along the 3" side score at
0.5
1.5

To find the middle of each of your sections mark with a pencil at the following measurements
.75
2.25
3.75
5.25
6.75
8.25

Here is the video for the box

For the card I have used the same dsp and cardstock colours and I have used the Big Birthday stamp set.

For the card you will need
A card base
A piece of card that measures 3 7/8" by 5 1/2"
A piece of dsp that measures 3 7/8" by 5 1/2"

whisper white card measuring 3 1/4" by 2 3/4"
another piece of dsp ( I used the other side to the birthday candles) that is 3 1/2" by 3"

Another piece of whisper white to stamp on.

Here is the tutorial for the card

Hello everyone,

Today is just a quick post about my GDP entry card. I have done a tutorial on how I put my card together and the different techniques that I used.

For the original card I used Peekaboo Peach, Bermuda Bay and Early Espresso, but today I used Night of Navy, Blushing Bride and Mint Macaron.

I have also made a panel to go inside the card, using the lacy doily as a stencil.

For this card you will need

A card base that measures 4 1/8" by 5 3/4",
A piece of card 4" by 5 5/8" for the first layer.
A piece of whisper white card that is 3 7/8" by 5 1/2" for inking and stamping on,
A scrap of white to die cut a circle from.
A thin piece of card 1" by 3 7/8" for the front,
A scrap of card for stamping on.
A lace doily.
A piece of whisper white for inside the card measuring 5 1/4" by 3 3/4"

You will also need ink in your chosen colours, versa mark ink and a heat tool and some sponge daubers.

Stampin'Up! Global Design Project GDP#077

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone.

Well I'm back this week with another challenge from the Global Deign Project. This week it is a colour challenge which are always great fun!

Here is my card,
#GDP077 Made by gemma crafts

For this card I have used the Josephs Coat technique to create the background. I then sponged one of the doilies with peekaboo peach ink to tie in the colours. I have used some of the glimmer paper in Bermuda Bay and the stamped cheers come from the Love Sparkles stamp set.

As I am designing and creating my cards I never really know what the final outcome will be so for me this card is a bit 'kitchen sink', as I kept adding to it and used everything! I really enjoy playing with different textures and colours and it's exciting to see what the finished card will be like.

I used quite a few different products to make my card and I usually put a list of them at the end of my post but today I will just list the main items used.

You can check out all the other entries for the GDP here

Stampin'Up! Just Keep Swimming #GDP076

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

This week I have decided to be brave and enter the Global Design Project #GDP076 challenge! This great challenge is set by a fabulous group of Stampin'Up! demonstrators from far and wide. This weeks challenge has been set by the lovely Kylie Bertucci. She has given us a card to CASE and here is my entry.

Made by Gemma Crafts #GDP076

For my card I have used the Just Keep Swimming stamp set from the S/S catalogue. This is a great stamp set as it contains lots of different images for many different occasions, In fact there are 22 photopolymer stamps in this set for just £14!

I chose to use the 2 step diamond on my card and the sentiment You're a Gem. My cardbase is Crumbcake and then I used Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla with a hint of copper for the panels on the card. I also used some of the ombre calypso coral ribbon from the cupcakes and carousels embellishment kit. I used the banners punch to cut out my sentiment and used some dimensionals to make it stand out a little.
