Stampin'Up! Handbag box card

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone,

Today I finally have the tutorial for the project I made for the Crafty Cupcakes team bloghop.

Here is the original box,

For this one I used the beautiful Spring Time Foiled dsp and for the one in the video I decided to make it with card and then decorate it with some dsp like this,

I just love the black card with the pretty floral design of the paper! The dsp is from the Sweet Soiree speciality dsp. The stamp I used on the front of this box is from the Lots Of  Happy all inclusive card kit, which shows that you can use the stamps for any project!

To make this box you will need either the speciality dsp or cardstock, both measurements are the same.

For the main box,

A piece 12" x 6"

Scored  on the 6" side at 1" and 5"

Scored on the 12" side at 1", 4 1/2", 5 1/2", 6 1/2", 10" and 11"

For the handle a piece 1" x 9 1/2"

If you are using card and want to decorate the box with dsp you will need some in the following measurments,

3 3/4" x 3 1/4" 2 of these

3/4" x 3 1/4" 4 of these

3/4" x 3 3/4" 2 of these

You will also need 2 craft magnets and some ribbon and/or embellishments of your choice to finish your box

To cut the circles on the box I have used my go to Stitched Shapes Framelit dies, which as you will know are my go to product and I have also used the ovals for the front of the box. I love this die set and I think it should be on everyone's basic craft supply list as it is so versatile.

For the cards inside the box I made some 3" x 3" cards and then some envelopes to match using the envelope punch board. If you don't want to make your own envelopes there are some 3" x 3" ones in the Annual Catalogue and I will link them below with the other supplies.

Stampin'Up! Card in a Box with a twist

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

Today I have got a fun birthday card tutorial for you. Last year when I was at onstage with my fellow crafty cupcakes one of the team made a card for our upline and I thought it was amazing so decided to make a similar one for our Mums on Mothers Day.

For my tutorial today I have decided to make it for a birthday.

This is not a very easy card to photograph so I have made a collage of the pictures to make it easier to see.

For this card you will need

A sheet of 12" x 12" DSP

You will need to cut this down into 3 strips measuring 4" x 12" and then cut one strip to 5"

These then need to be scored at 2 1/2", 5", 7 1/2" and 10" , with the shorter 5" piece being scored at 2 1/2" on the long side.

For the boxes/trays

A piece of card measuring 5 3/4" x 7 1/4"
A piece of card measuring 5 7/8" x 7 3/8"

Both pieces of card need to be scored on all four sides at 3/4" and 1 1/2" to make the top and bottom boxes

To decorate the inside you will need

8 pieces of DSP 3 3/4" x 2 1/4"
2 pieces of coloured card 3 3/4" x 2 1/4"
2 pieces of white card 3 1/2" x 2"

Here is a list of what I used today

Thank you for taking a look today, Until next time,

 Happy crafting!

Stampin' Up! Boxes and Bags 2018 Crafty Cupcakes Team Blog Hop

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

Welcome to the Crafty Cupcakes Team Stampin' Up! Blog Hop for March 2018. Each month members of the Team take part in our Team Blog Hop to share with you our cards and projects made using the fabulous Stampin' Up! products. You are currently visiting my blog, Made By Gemma CRafts and below you will see the full list of everyone taking part. To move to the next blog just click the name after mine in the list. This month our theme is Boxes and Bags, which of course are my favourite things to make! Thank you for visiting my blog today.

For my project I have made a handbag that contains some small cards and envelopes. This would make a great little gift for someone or maybe just for you to keep!

My original idea for this months blog hop was to use one piece of 12x12 dsp and make a box and bag but as I was planning out the measurements for the box this idea came to me so then it became a bag with cards.

The main box is made with a piece of 6" x 12" DSP. I have used the gorgeous Springtime Foils Speciality DSP, which is a Sale-A-Bration product. There are still 2 weeks to get some of the limited edition Sale-A-Bration products!

For the cards inside they are 3" x 3", I have used the Garden in Bloom stamp set. I used a combination of Smoky Slate, Basic Grey and Powder Pink for the cards. The sentiments came from the Rose Wonder stamp set. I made the envelopes using my envelope punch board and also stamped them to coordinate with the cards.

The outside of the handbag is decorated with some ribbon and die cut circles. I stamped the large flower image and fussy cut it then layered it onto the ovals with dimensionals.

The Team have worked really hard on our Blog Hop to bring you a variety of creativity and inspiration. Make sure you click the next name on the list to carry on through the Hop.

Thank you once again for visiting my blog and taking part in our blog hop.  There are so many amazing ideas being shared by the Team you really don't want to miss any of it! Stampin'Up! Tuxedo fold card box

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

Today I have the tutorial for the Tuxedo fold card box that I showed you in my previous video.

I really like to box my special cards as it really finishes them off beautifully and after all when you have spent so much time and effort creating a special card it should have an extra special way of being presented.

To make the box you will need

A piece of card measuring 10" x 8 1/4"

A piece of card measuring 4 1/8" x 1 1/4"

To decorate your box you can use anything you wish but for mine I have used some dsp strips that measure 2 1/4" x 12" and another measuring 1 3/4" x 12"

I have stamped and punched the daisy the same as the ones on my card and then used some twine and ribbon for the box. As I said in the video the twine I have used is from a previous kit but the closest equivalent is the Linen Thread.

Here are the items I used in the tutorial today

Stampin'Up! Tuxedo Fancy Fold Card

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

Today I have made a tutorial as promised from my previous post. For the Crafty Cupcakes team blog hop I made a tuxedo fold card. As always I have changed things up a bit and also resized the card.

The card I shared with you was made with the Delightful Daisy Suite in the Annual Catalogue but in the video I have used the fabulous Bubbles and Fizz DSP which is in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue

For this card you will need the following

A piece of card measuring 6" x 8 1/2"

A strip of card measuring 3/4" x 4 7/8"

To decorate your card you will need your choice of patterned paper in the following,

4 pieces  1 3/4" x 1 3/4

2 pieces 1 3/4" x 3 3/4" Which you will need to cut as per instructed in the video

1 extra piece of 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" to cut in half diagonally for the front of the card.

2 magnets, I use these ones here  10mm by 1mm thick

Some window sheet, either one piece 2 5/8" x 5" or strips depending on what embellishments you will be using.

See here for the video
