StampinUp! Global Design Project #121

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

Today I am playing along with the Global Design Project colour challenge GDP#121

I really like the colours chosen this week in particular Bermuda Bay. In the Spring/Summer Catalogue there is a DSP in the Myths and Magic Suite and it's just gorgeous! The dsp is a speciality one and has got glitter and shiny stuff, so so lovely. In there there is some Bermuda Bay bubbley glittery paper and I have chosen that for my card along with the new stamp set Birthday Wishes for you. This is a set with only 2 stamps, one large one small so I have used both on my card.

To incorporate the colours and as the stamp is so big I decided to ink my stamp with all three colours and I think it looks great!
I stamped on a piece of whisper white and then I cut a rectangle out of the dsp and afixed it over the top with dimensional's. I stamped the sentiment in the same way and then cut it out by hand and added it to the bottom of the card. I used some Sweet Sugar plum card to make my card base (5 3/4"x 8 1/4" scored on the long side at 4 1/8")

Thank you for taking a look today until next time,

 Happy crafting!

This month our theme is Sale-A-Bration 2018. Thank you for visiting my blog today.

Sale-A-Bration is a fantastic time of year with Stampin'Up! as when we spend we get free product and everyone loves something free! The Items available this year are amazing and my favourite is the Bubbles and Fizz DSP. It has some of my favourite colours in it especially Bermuda Bay, which I think goes so well with Lemon Lime Twist.

January can sometimes be a bit of a blue month with the festivities of Christmas over so I decided to make a bright and bold table decoration and some cute invites.

I cut some strips of DSP to make the pinwheel and then attached it to a skewer. I have used the SAB stamp set Amazing you for the stamping on my project.

For my box I used Lemon Lime Twist card and then some more dsp to decorate it. The ribbon is also a SAB product, Shimmer Ribbon Pack.

For the invites I printed a template onto some whisper white card then decorated them with dsp strips and stamped them, finally mounting them onto some Bermuda Bay and Lemon Lime Twist card.

Can you believe that I only used one piece of 6" x 12" of dsp to make today's projects!

The Team have worked really hard on our Blog Hop to bring you a variety of creativity and inspiration. Make sure you click the next name on the list to carry on through the Hop.

Thank you once again for visiting my blog and taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss so make sure you carry on hopping through the list. Stampin'Up! CASE-ing Tuesdays #130

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone,

Again this week I am back with the CASE-ing Tuesdays bloggers. I am really enjoying being part of the group as it's great for sharing and inspiring others.

This is my card for this week

Here is the card we were given to CASE

I haven't used Sweet Sugarplum for a while so I have chosen to use this colour for my card base and also some of the patterned dsp from the Tutti Frutti stack, which is a beautiful set of dsp as there are fruit based designs on one side and pretty patterns on the other making it so versatile.
I have used the Perennial Birthday stamp set for my flower images and coloured them with my watercolor pencils. The sentiment banner is made with a strip of Pear Pizzazz card and I have added a bow of silver bakers twine.

Thank you for stopping by to see my card this week, Until next time

 Happy crafting!

Stampin'Up! CASE-ing Tuesdays #129

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

I'm back again with the CASE-ing Tuesday Bloggers today. As I said in my previous Tuesday posts we are a group of Stampin'Up! demo's that every week we CASE a selected card.

Here is my card for this week,

The card we were given to CASE is in the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue here,

I just love the little panda! However for my card I chose to use the Lovely Wishes stamp set in the new S/S catalogue, Which I think is my favourite so far.

Here are a couple of closer looks at my card.

I have used Calypso Coral for my card base and some of the dsp from the Tutti- Fruitti stack. With a little splash of Lemon Lime Twist for good measure, I think I have found my new favourite colour combo!

The Lovely Wishes set has some 2 step stamps in and is really easy to line up, I stamped the main images in Pear Pizzazz and the infil stamp in Lemon Lime Twist. The sentiment is stamped in Calypso Coral. I finished the card with some sequin trim and ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue in Calypso Coral.

Thank you for stopping by today, until next time,

 Happy crafting!

Stampin'Up! Brusho Crystal Colours

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

Today I am sharing a how to tutorial showing you one of the new products in the Spring/Summer Catalogue, Brusho Crystal Colour. These little pots are full of very fine crystals of colour that come to life when mixed with water. You can use them on wet or dry paper to create some stunning back grounds for your cards and other projects.

They come in 5 colours and are not SU! colours. You can also mix them to make other colours like I did for the rainbow tie die effect card.

As there are many ways to use the Brusho Crystal Colours I decided to make a short tutorial on the different techniques I used to make my cards.

Here is the video

Here is a closer look at the cards,

                                              Stamp used, Sale-A-Bration, Amazing You

Stamps used, Heart Happines and You're Priceless

                                                         Stamp set used, Beautiful You

For the cards above I used a different way of applying the Brusho Crystal Colour as I show you in the video.

Another card I made was the December Sneak Peek Crafty Cupcakes Team blog hop and I also show you in the video how I created the background. For more about this card click here

The Brusho's are a really fun medium to use and you don't have to be a skilled artist or be able to watercolour to enjoy them.

Stampin'Up! Mini Popping Box Card

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

Firstly I would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year!

I have a special project for you today, At the beginning of the year I shared my Popping Box Card with you and I thought it would be fun to make a mini version. I filmed the tutorial at the start of December and with one thing and another I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to share it yet and I thought it would be an ideal way to see out the year.

As before the tutorial has been made in two parts, the first part is the actual cube and the second part is the smaller wrap I have designed for it.

I have also made some templates as before and you can find them here.

For the box in the tutorial I have used  a brand new stamp set called Perennial Birthday, which is available in the new Spring/Summer Occasions Catalogue. To see the new catalogue click here.

I have used Fresh Fig card and Old Olive card with some paper from the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper stack, which is in the Annual Catalogue. I have done some masked stamping for the embellishment on my cube to get the different colours on one image. Very soon my Stamparatus will ship and I look forward to showing you how I did the stamping.

You will need a small rubber band and also ribbon of your choice. The pieces of dsp on the cube measure 1 3/4" square and the pieces of dsp and whisper white on the front of the box measure
2" x 4 1/4" and 1 7/8" x 4 1/8" respectively

For the cube you will need

2 pieces of card measuring
5" x 6"
4 1/2" x 6 1/2"

On the 5x6 card you will need to score it as follows

5" side, 1/2" , 2 1/2" , 4 1/2"

6" side, 2" , 4"

On the 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" card score

4 1/2" side, 1/2" , 2 1/2"

6 1/2" side, 1/2",  2 1/2"  , 4 1/2"

For the box and tray you will need three pieces of card measuring,

Tray, 3 1/8" x 5 1/2" scored at 1/2" on all 4 sides

Box, 3 1/4" x 9 1/2" scored on the 9 1/2" side at 4 1/2" and 5"
3 1.4" side at 1/2" on both sides

Pull out 2" x 5" Use the scalloped tag topper punch on this piece or alternatively use a hole punch to make a hole for your ribbon.

To put all the components together watch the 2 tutorials below
