This month our theme is Holiday Catalogue favourites.

For my card today I have chosen to use the Painted Autumn suite which is on page 48 of the Holiday Catalogue. It's such a beautiful suite and the Designer Series Paper is just stunning.

To make my card I stamped and fussy cut some of the leaf and acorn images from the Painted Harvest set. I then decided to tear the DSP for the front, Yes I tore it! I think it softens the edges and gives it a more rustic autumnal feel to go with the Jute Twine which I tied with some Crushed Curry Solid Bakers Twine. For the sentiment I stamped onto a strip of Very Vanilla card and then shaped the ends. For the card base I used Crumb Cake cardstock to make a standard sized card then stamped with Crumb Cake ink the leaves. There is a small dotty stamp in the set so I used this to fill in the gaps in Pear Pizzazz.

Thank you for visiting my blog and taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss so make sure you carry on hopping through the list. Stampin'Up! Snowflake Sentiments stamped candle and Gift Box

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

Well that was a long summer holiday with the kids! Over the holidays my subscribers to my YouTube channel hit over 1000! Thank you to everyone that has subscribed over the last year.

Today as a thank you to you I have made a special project for you. I have just discovered stamping onto candles and I have also designed a gift box for the candles.

I have used some of the new products from the Holiday Catalogue for my candle and box. To see the new catalogue click HERE

In November I have a stall booked at a local craft fair and I was thinking of different things to make and I have seen stamped candles a few times on pinterest etc and decided to give it a go. The candle below with the car on was the first one I attempted and I was really pleased with the results. For the candle in the video tutorial I decided to try heat embossing on the tissue paper first before transferring to my candle, I had no ides if it would work or just be a sticky mess! As you will in the video it worked!

To add a stamped image onto a candle you will need a few things before you start. You will need some white tissue paper, greaseproof paper or wax paper, a heat gun just like you would use for heat embossing and most importantly a candle. My candle is from HomeBargains and cost 99p.  The process is fairly simple you just need to remember not to concentrate the heat gun in one spot for too long or you will melt your candle completely!

In today's tutorial I am using the new stamp set called Snowflake Sentiments and also the Speciality Designer Series Paper, Year of Cheer. This DSP is all foiled and so pretty. Paired with the Champagne Foils sheets it's just stunning!

To make the box you will need

1 sheet of A4 card, I used thick Whisper White. This needs to be scored on the long side at 2 3/4", 5 1/2", 8 1/4" and 11"

On the short side score at 2 3/4" and 7 3/4"

1 piece of card, also thick Whisper White, that measures 2 3/4" by 3 1/2" scored at 2 3/4" on the long side.

4 pieces of Designer Series Paper that measure 2 1/2" by 4 3/4" and 1 piece that measures 2 1/2" by 2 1/2".

A piece of window sheet measuring 2 1/2" by 4"

A piece of  Champagne Foil sheet to die cut 2 ovals from to make a frame.

You will also need some layering dies, I have used the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies ovals to cut the front of the box out and also a frame to go around it.

This month we are taking a sneak peek at the upcoming Holiday Catalogue which will be available from 1st September 2017 until 4th January 2018. I can tell you that you will fall in love with the gorgeous new stamps, DSP and all the other goodies to embellish your Christmas and Halloween projects.

I have used the Carols of Christmas stamp set with the Card Front Builder Thinlits for my project today which is actually available early!

For my card I used some of the Be Merry Designer Series Paper and cut 8 2" x 2" squares. I then folded them teabag style, joined them together and made a pretty topper for my card with a faceted gem in the middle. For the frame I used the Card Front Builder dies and also the holly sprigs were stamped and die cut too. I layered the Garden Green frame onto some gold foil sheet and then added some Whisper White for the inside. I chose to put the sentiment inside my card to use it as a greeting.

Stampin'Up! Carols Of Christmas Fast Fab Cards day 5

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

Thank you for joining me this week for my Fab Fast Cards mini series. The week has flown by and we are now on the final day. As it's the last day I thought I would share a Christmas card with you and also share the fabulous new Pre Order Carols of Christmas stamp set and Card Front Builder Dies.

This is a great Christmas bundle and it's so versatile from the very simplest of cards to some more intricate ones. I haven't had much time to really put this bundle to the test yet so I'm sure I will be sharing more from this very soon.

For my card today I used just 2 stamps and one die. I used the frame die, which is cut twice, with one of the large sentiment stamps. I chose to use classic Christmas colours, Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler. These cards would be great to make a set of and put in a pretty box for craft fairs.

For the card you will need

Carols of Christmas stamp set and coordinating Card Front Builder dies

Thick Whisper White  4 1/8" by 11" Scored on the 11" side at 5 1/2"

Cherry Cobbler/ Garden Green card 4" by 5 1/4"

Whisper White card 3 1/8" by  3/8"

Cherry Cobbler/ Garden Green Ink pads

Stampin'Up! Rose Wonder Fast Fab Card Day 4

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

Thank you for joining me so far this week for my mini series, Fast Fab Cards. Today I have chosen a Sympathy card, I tend to find these cards quite difficult to make and I don't think anyone would say that they really enjoy making them. This is why I have included a sympathy card in the series so you can have a quick card ready in a flash.

To make this card I used the rose wonder stamp set which has got some beautiful sentiments and is a good all rounder as it covers not only sympathy but Birthday and Weddings too. I chose to stamp with Smokey Slate and the back layer on the card is Basic Grey. I have used another card blank to make my card even quicker, If you wish to make your own card base I listed the measurements on yesterday's post, Click here to see.

For my card front I put my white card onto my score board to emboss some detail by scoring lines. I really like this simple yet effective technique. I stamped and cut out the flowers and then layered them in the corner.

Here is the video,

Join me again tomorrow for the final instalment in my mini series, Fast Fab Cards!

Stampin'Up! Eastern Beauty Fast Fab Cards Day 3

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

Thank you for joining me for day 3 of my mini series Fast Fab Cards.

Today I am using the Eastern Palace stamp set with two of the gorgeous new In Colours, Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist. I have used the colours with basic black ink to give a monotone effect and I hope you will agree with me that it gives a beautiful look.

I have used just 3 stamps from the Eastern Palace set to make my cards and I am pretty sure I have seen similar cards on pinterest, I am afraid I cannot remember who pinned what etc but thank you for the inspiration!
I have also used one of my many A6 cardblanks that I have in my crafty stash which makes these cards even faster to make. I cut my layers to fit my cardblank so I haven't listed them below but I have given you measurements if you would like to make your own.

I used the circle stamps from the set which I stamped in black and then the colour, The circle on the front is die cut using one of the Stitched Shapes Framelit dies. These are my go-to dies as you can use them for some many different projects.
As you will see I have put the sentiment in slightly different positions on the cards as on the Berry Burst one I managed to smudge some ink! Not to worry as the sentiment covered it perfectly!

To make this card you will need

A Card blank (mine is a plain A6 one)

Coloured card to layer, I have cut mine to measure the card blank I used.

Whisper White card, again, cut to the size you need for your blank.

A scrap of both cards to cut and stamp the sentiment on.

Finally I finished the card with a few basic rhinestones dotted about.

If you wish to cut your own card blank the measurements are as follows,

Blank, 8 1/4" by 5 3/4" scored at 4 1/8" on the long side

Layer 1, 3 7/8" by 5 1/2"

Layer 2, 3 5/8" by 5 1/4"

Here are some more pictures and the video!
