Shaped cards day 6!

Good evening crafters. Today is day 6 of my mini challenge and i have done a tall z fold card.
This card was made with a piece of cardstock measuring 9 3/4" by 8 1/4".
Then it is scored every 3 1/4" to give 3 sections. Make a mark 2" on the side from the bottom and cut diagonally from the second score line.
Finally you can decorate in what ever way you like. I designed this card to make it look like a bunch of flowers. I stamped, coloured and cut out the flowers and stamped the stem directly onto the card base.

Hope you like todays card, back tomorrow for the final day!
Happy crafting

Day 5 of shaped card challenge

Hello crafters hope you are all well and having a good week!
Todays card is a pop up box card. There are many tutorials for this style of card but this is how i do mine.
Take an a4 piece of card and score across the long edge at 7cm, 14cm, 21cm and 28cm.
On the short side score at 7.5cm. Cut on the short side at 16.5cm. You will then have a strip that you can make the inside supports from.
Stampin' Up! owl builder punch pop up box card
You will then hava 4 wide sections and a smaller one. Cut and remove the top section like this and cut down each section like this

Then you stick it together like this
You can then decorate it any way you like. I have used the Stampin' Up! owl builder punch which is so cute and i love it!
Hope you have enjoyed todays card happy crafting

7 days of shaped cards day 4

Evening crafters, so its day 4 of my challenge to myself and im just about keeping up! Today i have done a gate fold card, which is a simple base but have used stamps to create a background. Sometimes its nice to use stamps for other things rather than to make a topper for the front of a card.

To start i made the base card from a piece of cardstock that was 12" x 6" and scored along the long side at 3" and 9"
Then i stamped flowers randomly on a sheet of a4 paper in black ink. I matted them onto some black card and attached them to the base. I used my aqua painter and some distress inks to colour in the flowers. Finally i stamped hello and die cut it out and added to the front.

Hope you like todays card

Day 3 of 7 days of shaped cards

Hello crafters
Today is day 3 and i have chosen a stepper card. This is one of the first shaped cards that i made when i started crafting. I used some just rite stamps on this card which i love at the moment.

This is the template i used for this card. I find it handy to make a template of different cards so when i want to make one i dont have to try and remember the measurements ☺

This is the base card once i had scored, cut and folded.
I then used the just rite stamps to layer a flower and leaves. I randomly stamped the tiny dots and branch on some card and matt and layered them with some green card for the sides and bottom. Then i used a stamp out of my stash for the sentiment.

Hope you like todays card, i will be back tomorrow with day 4
Happy crafting

7 days of shaped cards, day 2

Hello crafters! So its day 2 and today i have done an easle card. It can be difficult sometimes to make cards for the men in our lives so i thought i would go with a male themed card.
Here is the finished card

This is a basic 6" x 6" easle card made from white cardstock.

Here are the papers and card i used on it before i stuck them down. The measurements are
Navy cardstock 5 3/4" square x 2
Patterned paper 5 1/2" square x 2
The smaller one i used for a topper is
Navy cardstock 4 1/4" square
Patterned paper 4" square
White card 3 3/4" square
I then stamped an anchor and birthday sentiment in navy blue ink. I alson used some glossy accent on the anchor.

Hope you have enjoyed todays card and thank you for reading. Have a crafty evening

Challenge for myself 7 days of shaped cards

Afternoon crafters
Today i thought i would set myself a challenge as a new blogger to do 7 different shaped cards over 7 days. Today is day 1 and ive started with a trifold card.

To make this card i started with a piece of cardstock 12" x 6" and scored it along the long side at 2" 4" 8" 10".
I then made a cut with the short edge at the top from the 2" score line to the 10" score line at 1.5"

After i scored and cut i folded it to look like this
I then used some patterned paper to decorate my card base. The measurents are as follows
2    5 3/4" x 1 3/4
2    3 3/4" x 1 1/4"
2    1 3/4" x 2 3/4"
4    1 1/4" x 1 3/4"
1    2 3/4" x 3 3/4"

I then went on to decorate it using some dies and stamps from my stash
The finished card!

Hope you all enjoyed my first little tutorial and my card, thank you for taking the time to look. Have a crafty day

First post on my new blog!

Hello crafters! I have taken the bold steps to start my own blog after seeing so many and thinking 'i could do that too'! I have a passion for papercraft and love sharing all things crafty with my friends, family and now many more.
I thought i would start with a project i did yesterday using stamping and bleach painting.
This was made by using versa mark ink and then black embossing powder. I then picked out detail using a thin paintbrush and good old domestos! I stamped and embossed the butterfly the same way then cut it out and added it on. The frame is made from a 12x12 piece of cardstock.

Hope you enjoy my future posts and im hoping to be able to post some tutorials of cards and other projects that i make
Thanks for reading, have a crafty day
