This month our theme is Inspired By Nature. Thank you for visiting my blog today.

For this months theme being inspired by nature I have been inspired on my daily school run with my two boys and how much fun they have kicking up the fallen leaves. So I decided to use a leaf that we collected to stamp with and here is my card.

To stamp with the leaf firstly I made sure it was clean and dry, Then to ink the leaf I laid it over my open ink pad and used a sponge brayer to gently roll over the leaf and ink it up. When I put the leaf onto my cardstock I used a piece of scrap paper on top so I could use the roller to pres it down. I chose to use Daffodil delight and Tangerine Tango for my leaves then added a strip of DSP from the Painted Autumn stack and punched out some labels with the Pretty Label punch in Early Espreso to match my card base and whisper white. On the whisper white label I stamped a sentiment from the Painted Harvest stamp set again in Early Espresso ink.
I just love the pattern from the stamped leaves with the veins, they are truly unique and nature at it most beautiful

Stampin'Up! You're Priceless Global Design Project #GDP108

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

Today's card is one that I have made for the Global Design Project GDP#108. It has been a while since I have entered anything so I thought i would give it a go this week.

For this weeks challenge it is to CASE the designer who is the very talented Brian King. Within the GDP when the challenge is to CASE a card they mean to Copy And Selectively Edit, So that means that we are free to change the colour, stamp set etc...

Here is the card we are to CASE

And here is my card.

I chose to use the You're Priceless stamp set which is in the Annual Catalogue along with some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer card and Silver heat embossing. My card base is made from Smoky Slate which is my favourite neutral colour and I used whisper White to stamp on with versamark ink then sprinkled with silver embossing powder and heat set. The diamond die cut is from the Eclectic Layers thinlits dies and again I cut that with some Smoky Slate and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer paper. For the inside of my card I used the wording You're Brilliant and I then used the diamond stamp behind the words but stamped off twice in smoky slate ink.

Here is a list of what I used for my card,

Thank you for stopping by today, if you would like to see what others have created in this weeks GDP challenge then click the link here to see them and maybe even have a go yourself!

Stampin'Up! Be Merry Triangle Candle Gift Box

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone,

Today I have got a more unusual project for you. I have made a triangular shaped gift box for some small jar candles that I am going to sell at my next craft fair. Christmas is now fast approaching with only 84 days to go, so we crafty folk need to get organised, I am going to have a few more Christmas projects for you over the coming weeks. These would make a great teacher thank you or neighbour gift.

For my box I have used Garden Green cardstock and decorated it with the Be Merry Designer Series Paper (which is in the DSP sale) and the stamped sentiment comes from the Snowflakes Sentiments stamps set which is fast becoming my go to Christmas stamp set! Teamed with the ribbons that are in the Holiday Catalogue are 2 of the Stitched Shapes Framlit oval diecuts.

When I was making the box I decided to attach the sentiment tag to the lid of the box as it looked better than on the base and it's just a little different and sometimes different is good!

To make the box you will need

For the base, Cardstock measuring 7 1/2" x 11 5/8" (A4)
For the lid, Cardstock measuring  4 3/4" x 11 1/2  and a small piece measuring 1 1/2" x 3 1/2"

DSP
3 pieces of 3 3/4" x 3 1/2"
3 pieces of 1 1/4" x 3 1/2
A piece for the lid, start with a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" square and use your triangle template to cut to size (see video tutorial for info)

Scoring

For the base take the larger piece of cardstock and score at the following measurements

Long side  (11 5/8")

3 3/4", 7 1/2", 11 1/4"

Short side (7 1/2")

3 1/2"

For the lid, Cardstock 4 3/4" x 11 1/2"

Long side (11 1/2")#

3 7/8", 7 3/4"

Short side (4 3/4")

1 1/2"

Now score the small rectangle of cardstock along the long side (3 1/2") at 1 3/4"

Here is the video tutorial for the box where I show you how to assemble and decorate you box.

Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue Favourites Crafty Cupcakes Team Blog Hop

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Welcome to the Crafty Cupcakes Team Stampin' Up! Blog Hop for September 2017. Each month members of the Team take part in our Team Blog Hop to share with you our cards and projects made using the fabulous Stampin' Up! products. You are currently visiting Made by Gemma Crafts in the UK and below you will see the full list of everyone taking part. To move to the next blog just click the name after mine in the list. This month our theme is Holiday Catalogue favourites.

For my card today I have chosen to use the Painted Autumn suite which is on page 48 of the Holiday Catalogue. It's such a beautiful suite and the Designer Series Paper is just stunning.

To make my card I stamped and fussy cut some of the leaf and acorn images from the Painted Harvest set. I then decided to tear the DSP for the front, Yes I tore it! I think it softens the edges and gives it a more rustic autumnal feel to go with the Jute Twine which I tied with some Crushed Curry Solid Bakers Twine. For the sentiment I stamped onto a strip of Very Vanilla card and then shaped the ends. For the card base I used Crumb Cake cardstock to make a standard sized card then stamped with Crumb Cake ink the leaves. There is a small dotty stamp in the set so I used this to fill in the gaps in Pear Pizzazz.

Stampin'Up! Snowflake Sentiments stamped candle and Gift Box

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

Well that was a long summer holiday with the kids! Over the holidays my subscribers to my YouTube channel hit over 1000! Thank you to everyone that has subscribed over the last year.

Today as a thank you to you I have made a special project for you. I have just discovered stamping onto candles and I have also designed a gift box for the candles.

I have used some of the new products from the Holiday Catalogue for my candle and box. To see the new catalogue click HERE

In November I have a stall booked at a local craft fair and I was thinking of different things to make and I have seen stamped candles a few times on pinterest etc and decided to give it a go. The candle below with the car on was the first one I attempted and I was really pleased with the results. For the candle in the video tutorial I decided to try heat embossing on the tissue paper first before transferring to my candle, I had no ides if it would work or just be a sticky mess! As you will in the video it worked!

To add a stamped image onto a candle you will need a few things before you start. You will need some white tissue paper, greaseproof paper or wax paper, a heat gun just like you would use for heat embossing and most importantly a candle. My candle is from HomeBargains and cost 99p.  The process is fairly simple you just need to remember not to concentrate the heat gun in one spot for too long or you will melt your candle completely!

In today's tutorial I am using the new stamp set called Snowflake Sentiments and also the Speciality Designer Series Paper, Year of Cheer. This DSP is all foiled and so pretty. Paired with the Champagne Foils sheets it's just stunning!

To watch the full tutorial click below

To make the box you will need

1 sheet of A4 card, I used thick Whisper White. This needs to be scored on the long side at 2 3/4", 5 1/2", 8 1/4" and 11"

On the short side score at 2 3/4" and 7 3/4"

1 piece of card, also thick Whisper White, that measures 2 3/4" by 3 1/2" scored at 2 3/4" on the long side.

4 pieces of Designer Series Paper that measure 2 1/2" by 4 3/4" and 1 piece that measures 2 1/2" by 2 1/2".

A piece of window sheet measuring 2 1/2" by 4"

A piece of  Champagne Foil sheet to die cut 2 ovals from to make a frame.

You will also need some layering dies, I have used the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies ovals to cut the front of the box out and also a frame to go around it.

Product List

I have got quite a few new projects lined up ready to share and also film tutorials for you, which I am hoping to get done next week so stay tuned for them!

This month we are taking a sneak peek at the upcoming Holiday Catalogue which will be available from 1st September 2017 until 4th January 2018. I can tell you that you will fall in love with the gorgeous new stamps, DSP and all the other goodies to embellish your Christmas and Halloween projects.

I have used the Carols of Christmas stamp set with the Card Front Builder Thinlits for my project today which is actually available early!

For my card I used some of the Be Merry Designer Series Paper and cut 8 2" x 2" squares. I then folded them teabag style, joined them together and made a pretty topper for my card with a faceted gem in the middle. For the frame I used the Card Front Builder dies and also the holly sprigs were stamped and die cut too. I layered the Garden Green frame onto some gold foil sheet and then added some Whisper White for the inside. I chose to put the sentiment inside my card to use it as a greeting.
