Stampin'Up! Cool Treats Poppin' Box Card

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone,

This week I thought I would do a 3d project with a bit of a difference,I am so excited to share this with you! A few weeks ago a video popped up on my suggestions from YouTube for a pop up 3d cube. Well I couldn't wait to have a go myself and here is what I made,

The original tutorial that I watched was by Ellisnipper, and she made hers from a template and put it in a folding wallet to present it. There is also another tutorial by Tuppance Coloured who is Stampin'Up! Demonstrator Keren Howell, So I drew my inspiration for this from both of these video's just making a few changes here and there to hopefully simplify the making of the cube. I have also made my own templates using the one that Elliesnipper made but I have changed the measurements to make it a little easier to follow.

Here are some pictures showing each side of the cube. For this I have used the Cool Treats stamp set, Frozen Treats thinlits and Tasty Treats DSP. This is a great suite for birthdays and it has a huge variety of colours in it so you can have lots of fun mixing and matching your cardstock and DSP.

I have made two video's on this project because I wanted to firstly focus on the cube and secondly the outer sleeve and tray box. The outer box is a simple tray and wrap and I have made templates for these as well as the cube.

The cube is made from 2 pieces of cardstock and a rubber band. You will need a fairly strong rubberband that measures about 1 1/2" when flattened out.

You can find the templates for this project on the 'Templates' page on my blog or you can click HERE to view them.

Cardstock Measurents

For the cube you will need

1 piece of card that is 7" by 9"

1 piece of card that is 6 1/2" by 9 1/2"

For the wrap and tray you will need

1 Piece of card that is 6 1/2" by  10 1/4"

1 piece of card that is 7 1/4" by 10 1/4"

Here is Part 1

Here is Part 2

I also made one for Valentine's Day with some more new products from the S/S Catalogue. I have used Sealed with Love stamp set and With Love DSP. The colours I used are Real Red and Pool Party which I think are a great combination!
