Stampin'Up! Crafty Cupcakes Design Team

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

Thank you for joining me this past month for the Crafty Cupcakes Design Team. This week is the last one for this month for me, It has flown past in a whirl of ink, card and of course lots of inspiration for you all!

This month myself and Emma from Little Crafty Me have been part of the team so please remember to head over to Emma's blog to take a look!

As you will know from last week we are highlighting the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. The stamp set is also available as a bundle with the Happy Birthday Thinlit Die which I have used on my card this week.

Here is my card, which on first glance looks like a simple little card but its got a hidden surprise.....

Inside the card is a pop out insert. I have used some of the smaller stamps to create a background and in the middle have stamped a sentiment. For the insert I have used some thinner copier paper as it needs to be folded inside the card and the regular Whisper White card is too thick for the card to close.  The card base is made from Pool Party card with a square of Designer Series paper from the Foil Frenzy Stack. I die cut the Happy Birthday in Pool Party and cut a circle from Whisper White to help it stand out on the front of the card. I recently made some of these cards for my Son's teachers Thank You cards for the end of term. Its such a fun card to make and give.

Stampin'Up! 'Hang It Up' Note Pad

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke

Hello everyone

I hope you all have had a lovely weekend, I have a quick make for you today which make an ideal gift or to sell at a craft fair. I am currently preparing for a fair local to me and I wanted something quick that I could make a few of at a time.

I also thought that this would make a great video tutorial for you all too! I buy the plain note pads from the Range and they are great value at £1 for 4. I chose to use the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series paper and the Crafting Forever stamp set. The Crafting Forever stamp set is in the Annual Catalogue and had got the very handy 'copyright Stampin'Up' stamp in which if you do sell your cards and other makes you should be putting on the reverse as per the Angel Policy.
I stamped and coloured the pens in with a blender pen, brushed in some ink from the inside of my ink pad. To make the hanging tab I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch which is one of my new favourite's and I'm finding any excuse to use it at the moment!

Here is the video tutorial.

To make your hanging note pad you will need

Card measuring 3 1/2" by 8 1/4"

DSP measuring 2 3/4" by 9" This covers my note pad but make sure you measure your's if you buy them from elsewhere.

For the hanging tab you need a piece of card 2" by 3"

Whisper White card for stamping on and a piece of coordinating card to layer for the front.

Welcome to the Crafty Cupcakes Team Stampin' Up! Blog Hop for July 2017. Each month members of the Team take part in our Team Blog Hop to share with you our cards and projects made using the fabulous Stampin' Up! products. You are currently visiting Made By Gemma Crafts in the UK and below you will see the full list of everyone taking part. To move to the next blog just click the name after mine in the list. Thank you for visiting me today.

This month the theme is 'Our Annual Catalogue favourite's' We have all had to chose our favourite new things from the catalogue and I have chosen the Marbled Background stamp and the Happy Birthday Thinlit dies along with two of the new InColours.

The Marbled stamp is the first large stamp that I have bought from SU and I have been really impressed with it, it stamps perfectly even though it is a large stamp. The die is also great as you can make some fast yet really effective cards with it so it's perfect for last minute cards.
I have made my card base with Berry Burst card and then used Whisper white and Powder Pink ink to stamp the background. I cut the Happy Birthday twice once in white and again in Berry Burst, then adhered them together with a drop shadow effect to give dimension. I then finished with a few glitter enamel dots. For the inside of my card I used the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set to add a sentiment and little flower

Stampin'Up! Crafty Cupcakes Design Team week 3

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Stampin'Up! Happy Birthday

Hello everyone

This week I am back for week 3 of the Crafty Cupcakes Design Team. This week we have decided to change the stamp set due to the issues with the Daisy Punch being unavailable. This is a real shame and the punch has proved so popular that it went on backorder pretty much instantly. Stampin'Up! issued the following

To give you some background, on average, we’ll sell about 7,000 of any given punch in a year. Knowing that the Daisy Punch would be popular, our initial order quantity for a four-month supply was 10,000—more than a year’s supply for a typical punch. As soon as we saw how quickly it was selling, we placed additional orders. Unfortunately, those take time to produce. The next shipment of Daisy Punches will likely arrive mid-August. Therefore, the Daisy Punch (and all associated bundles) will remain unorderable until that shipment arrives. We know how frustrating it is for you to not be able to sell (or buy) this punch, and we apologise for the delay; the extraordinary demand for this punch took all of us by surprise—in fact, it’s our highest selling punch in the last five years.

So with this in mind we decided to use the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set for the remainder of the month. Please remember to head over to Emma at Little Crafty Me to see what she has made this week.

My card this week is made with Powder Pink and Smoky Slate.

The softness of the Smokey Slate works really well the Powder pink and makes the delicate flowers in the stamp set just stunning. I decided to try and keep it clean and simple so I stamped the flowers with Smoky slate and then Powder Pink and fussy cut them and used dimensionals to make them pop off the card. I cut a small piece of card for the sentiment banner and also added a stamped flower and layered it with some Smoky Slate card. I then stamped some of the images onto the card and added some of the sqiggley lines which I think are meant to be used on the balloon but I liked them coming out of the foliage. The final touches were added with some basic rhinestones. The inside of the card has a stamped sentiment and another flower in the corner.

Stampin'Up Crafty Cupcakes Design Team week 2

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

Thank you for joining me for week two of the Crafty Cupcakes Design Team. As I previously mentioned the Crafty Cupcakes are a team of Stampin'Up! Demonstrators from all over the UK and Netherlands.

This month myself and Emma from Little Crafty Me have been set the challenge to use the Delightful Daisy Suite from the new Annual Catalogue.

For this week I have made a card using the Designer Series Paper along with the stamp set and coordinating punch. I originally designed this card for a card swap for the Random Act of Kindness group #RAK and I have decided to feature it here too as I was pleased with it.

The card base is a standard sized card made using Pool Party cardstock and then I have used strips of DSP for the main design on the card. The large Thank You stamp in the set is beautiful and I really like the font which I stamped in Night Of Navy Ink on Whisper White card. The daisy was stamped again on Whisper White card in Calypso Coral and then punched twice to layer. The middle of the daisy was heat embossed with gold and then cut and put in the middle with a dimensional to make it pop.

For the inside of the card I used one of the smaller flower stamps along with a sentiment to finish the card.

Thank you for stopping by today to take a look, Please head over to  Emma at Little Crafty Me to see what she has created this week.

Stampin'Up! OnStage 2017 Display Stampers

Independent Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Gemma Clarke -

Hello everyone

Today I have got an interesting post for you with lots of pictures because I am entering to have the chance to be one of the OnStage Display Stampers in November. Now that I have been a demo for just over a year now and this will be my second OnStage event so I thought I would be brave and enter!  For those of you who don't know what OnStage is, it is a day where around 400 demonstrators come together to share their love of Stampin'Up!, play with new goodies and have lots of crafty fun!

For this I have had to chose 3 cards, one scrapbook page and 2 3D projects. I have had alot of fun going back and looking at my cards and projects from the past year and I have thrown in a few new ones too! I am new to the world of scrap booking but I really enjoyed making this one with the brand new Christmas stamps and thinlits dies! So you have a little sneek peek of whats to come from the Autumn/Winter Catalogue!

Here are my cards that I have chosen

The 1st is made with the Nailed It stamp set from the Spring Summer Catalogue, This was one of my favourite set from the catalogue as I like making masculine cards as I have a lot of men in the family!

The second is one I recently made for #GDP093 with the new Oh So Eclectic Bundle, to see more click here

The final one again is a recent make and is part of a set of notecards using the Eastern Palace suite, This is my favourite from the set.

Here are my 2 3D projects one of which is a brand new project so this will be your first look!

The first is a hexagonal box, I love making boxes of all shapes and sizes and this again is another favourite so it was a no brainer when choosing my projects.

Below is my new project which is a notebook/organiser. The structure is actually made from the thick board in the packaging of the gold foil sheets. I used the Naturally Eclectic DSP with Berry Burst card to cover the board, I then covered and adhered a note pad, pocket and sticky notes on the inside along with a pen to finish! The final touches were added with the Eclectic layers thinlits and gold foil sheet. I used the pen image from the Crafting Forever stamp set for the front along with an embossed sentiment.

My final project is a scrapbook layout. I have used the Carols of Christmas bundle which is an early release product from the upcoming Autumn/Winter Catalogue. So here is a sneek peek......

There is space for two pictures and I have used the frame die with some gold foil sheet which is just beautiful. Watch this space for some new samples coming very soon of this new bundle which will be available to you from 1st August!

Thank you for taking the time to take a look today, It was a long one! I've got my fingers crossed for my entries it would be amazing to have the opportunity to be a display stamper. I will keep you posted!
